I’m excited to share a personal 3D project that holds a special place in my creative journey — a Moroccan tea set, designed entirely from scratch. This project isn’t just a technical exercise; it’s a blend of heritage, detail, and artistic growth.
Originally started in 2016, this tea set has been an evolving piece in my portfolio. Back then, I began by modeling a traditional Moroccan tea pot and glasses, inspired by the elegance and culture of Moroccan tea ceremonies. Today, I’ve returned to it with a new vision, refining the textures, topology, and lighting using the skills I’ve developed over the years.
From Scratch to Detail :
Every part of this set, the tea pot, glasses, tray, and surrounding elements ,has been modeled from the ground up using Autodesk Maya. For the texturing process, I used Mari for precision and Adobe Photoshop for final tweaks and detail painting.
The focus was on :
-
3D asset creation from real-life references
-
High-poly modeling with clean topology in Maya
-
UV unwrapping and advanced texturing with Mari
-
Surface detailing and texture polish in Photoshop
-
Realistic lighting and rendering to enhance authenticity
The final goal is to integrate this asset into a broader environment, possibly even a traditional Moroccan scene in Unreal Engine or for use in animation projects.
